On Sunday 19 members set out on the last walk of 2021. This was a coastal walk along the Kincardineshire coast taking in the pretty fishing villages of Johnshaven, Gourdon and Inverbervie. After the recent storms and wet weather we were lucky in having a dry though cloudy, and for December a relatively mild day.
1 walker started their walk at Johnshaven, 3 decided to do a circular walk from Inverbervie to Gourdon then inland and back to Inverbervie. The rest started the walk just short of St Cyrus outside the caravan park. This was due to the cliff top path at St Cyrus being closed for safety reasons because of coastal erosion. The walkers made their way along the lane to the coast at the Tangleha’ cottages, before making their way northwards. The sea was mild and the tide was out so we enjoyed views along the coast down to Montrose and beyond, and the villages ahead of us. We all made it to Inverbervie in good time and arrived back in Aberdeen by 4pm. Alastair
