There were 22 walkers on the bus for this outing, a rather low number for this popular destination, probably due to it being the holiday season. The weather stayed fine all day as forecast, with enough cloud cover to keep cool, but still with good visibility. More than half the walkers chose to climb Lochnagar, with several of them using the Black Spout ascent for extra excitement. Two walkers did the Capel Mounth circuit, and the remainder did various low level walks around the loch. Those back early appreciated the refreshments now available at the Visitor centre. The last four walkers returned with 10 minutes to spare, so we left on time and enjoyed a pub stop in Ballater before returning to Aberdeen on time. Janet
