Fine sunny day with little wind. There were 29 members on the bus. Two got off at Dinnet to walk round Loch Kinnord, four stayed on the bus after Cambus O’May to go on to Ballater and return via the old railway line. Of the rest, five did a circular walk into Ballater on the old railway line, spent an hour or so in Ballater before returning on tracks on the other side of the river. One  went to find the true position of the Rocking Stone, he confirmed that it does not rock. The rest (17) climbed Pannanich Hill. All were back on the bus by 3.30pm, we stopped for refreshments at the Boat Inn, Aboyne on the way back. David Fenlon
