There were 29 on the bus after one pick up near Banchory. Although it was very cold on leaving Aberdeen in the morning, the sun stayed out for what was a glorious autumn day for the walk. We had to divert to the south Deeside road for a stretch, due to the road closure at Peterculter and after a stop in Aboyne, we headed for the Glenshee ski centre. Only two alighted for the walk on the west side of the glen, with most opting for the two Monros on the east side. A few walkers also stayed on the bus to do a shorter walk at the Spittal of Glenshee. This group had an exciting encounter with some cows which were showing a little too much interest in them. The east side Monros proved to be a more strenuous walk than time had been allowed for, so we were half an hour late leaving the Spittal for the return home. However, we were grateful to our driver Jules for letting us still have a half hour refreshment stop in Ballater before the journey to Aberdeen. Janet link to photos
