We had 27 walkers on the bus for today’s walk. We had a comfort stop at Ballater, where two walkers opted for a walk in the local area and would be picked up on our return journey.  We continued to the car park at Crathie to the start of the walk, it was slippery due to a recent covering of snow. We visited the cairns which were erected by Queen Victoria in honour of her husband and children, we also passed John Brown’s statue. Jules, the bus driver, and 3 members returned to Ballater and enjoyed a lovely morning coffee at the recently rebuilt railway station. All walkers were back to the bus on time, and we had our customary stop at Ballater and were back in Aberdeen well before our time. It was a great day out and everyone enjoyed their day . Graham
