This was our first 8am start from Aberdeen of 2023.  20 walkers joined the bus in Aberdeen and another 5 at various points on the way.  After a quick comfort stop at Keith the bus went on to the Boat o’Brig.  Due to the lack of parking space available at the start of the walk the bus had to stop on the road next to a farm track.  This necessitated the 23 walkers quickly alighting the bus to start their walk.  However it was a short walk to join the Speyside Way to Craigellachie then on to Dufftown.  Most of the walkers decided to detour along the way to ascend Ben Aigan.  From there they had a panoramic view over Speyside thanks to the dry sunny day. 1 other walker started their short walk at Craigellachie and walked along the offshoot of the Speyside Way to Dufftown by way of the old railway line which goes alongside the River Fiddich.  1 other walker decided to stay on the bus to Balvenie Distillery car park and walk from there to Craigellachie and on to the Telford Bridge and walk back.  Everyone was back at the bus in good time and we went on to Dufftown for a pub stop before going home.  We all returned to Aberdeen about 6pm.  Alastair
