31 walkers enjoyed a mostly dry day (a bit of rain the last half hour) with a little mist on top but many boggy parts as there has been some heavy rain over the last few days. 3 of the group decided to walk around Kildrummy and enjoyed a visit to the Castle Gardens which are starting to show autumn colours. Wendy had brought her paints and managed to capture a lovely scene in the gardens. The Castle Car Park was shut so managed to find a small lay-by near the Kildrummy Inn for the bus to park. We had hoped to enjoy a refreshment at the Kildrummy Inn but we were informed that it is only open to residents except for lunch and dinner. However we received a warm welcome at the Forbes Arms at Bridge of Alford so have noted this for future. Heather
