With some cloud cover and 18 walkers on the bus we left Aberdeen at the usual time arriving at the Scott Memorial about 9.50am where 15 left to do the full walk and 3 chose to go round to Glen Clova and walk from Rottal or wander up to Loch Brandy. We encountered a little mist between Airlie Tower and The Goal but it cleared up after that allowing a hint of sunshine and encountering some path maintenance underway, part of The Ministers Path is in really good condition now. One or two people later admitted that they followed the road from Newbigging as they couldn`t be bothered looking for the footbridge over the South Esk. Only a couple of tailenders and those up near Loch Brandy had to don waterproofs when a heavy shower of rain came across. After refreshments at the Clova Hotel where we encountered an ex member who is now into cycling, our driver got us back to Aberdeen just after 6pm. Hamish
