Thirteen brave souls ventured out on a stormy evening last Friday to participate in our organised 10 pin bowling event which took place at Lane 7, Shiprow, Aberdeen.

Our numbers were a little depleted due to the sever weather which affected some of those who had booked. A few  were affected by the high flood waters & hopefully they (& their properties) are now recovering from their ordeal.

We had two teams of 4 & one team with 5 players,  with the names having been drawn from “the Sorting Hat” – Harry Potter fans take note.

Several drinks were ordered prior to the games starting & soon the games were in full flow.

The overall winner on the night was Alastair who had a final score of 141 which included a few “strikes” along the way. Alan came second with a score of 119, followed closely by Gilbert on 110. Everyone went to Archibald Simpson’s pub for a drink after the bowling, with Alastair passing round his prize (a box of Celebrations) to share & I think it’s fair to say we all enjoyed the outing.
