Walkers who park their cars on the slip road at Allanvale Cemetery (the 2nd pick-up point) should note that there are roadworks on Great Southern Road resulting in the closure of the road to Southbound traffic i.e. cars heading out of the city. The closure is between the Whinhill Road roundabout & the roundabout at the King George VI bridge. The closure is scheduled for 19 weeks & there is a detour from Holburn Street – Riverside Place – Riverside Road then up to slip road from the roundabout at King George VI bridge. Drivers could also access the slip road from College Street – roundabout at Queen Elizabeth II bridge then along Riverside Drive to roundabout at King George VI bridge then up to slip road. Vehicles heading into the city from roundabout at the King George VI can still head up Great Southern Road towards Holburn Street.
