Last weekend, a group of 32 intrepid walkers embarked on an unforgettable coastal adventure along the stunning Scottish coastline. The day was filled with breathtaking views, challenging terrains, and moments of quiet reflection.

Our journey began with a brisk walk through the Forvie Sands, where keen-eyed walkers spotted seals basking in the sun. As we rounded Hackley Bay, a few adventurous souls decided to explore the rugged coastline, while the rest of the group continued along the well-trodden path.

We reached the charming coastal village of Colliston, where we paused for a well-deserved lunch break. The quaint streets and picturesque harbor provided a delightful respite from the challenging terrain.

After lunch, we faced a more demanding section of the walk. The path was steep, winding, and often broken, but the stunning coastal views made every step worthwhile. We paused for a moment of silence at 11 AM to commemorate Remembrance Day, a poignant tribute to those who have sacrificed for their country.

Before tackling the final stretch, we took a detour to visit the lesser-known “Old Slains Castle.” This ancient ruin, shrouded in mystery, offered a fascinating glimpse into Scotland’s rich history.

As we approached Cruden Bay, the landscape flattened out, and the sky cleared, revealing a breathtaking panorama of the coastline. The group celebrated their accomplishment with a sense of satisfaction and shared stories of the day’s adventures.

The second group of walkers decided to take in “New” Slains Castle and Cruden Bay beach, they bumped into current Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin and managed a cheeky selfie with him.

This coastal walk was more than just a physical challenge; it was an opportunity to connect with nature, appreciate history, and bond with fellow walkers. The stunning scenery, the camaraderie, and the shared experiences made this a truly unforgettable day.
