AHWC. Nethybridge to Glenmore (by Ryvoan Bothy).

The walk today takes us into the Abernethy Forest area, which you Club have not visited since the summer of 2007. This walk is a through one, so members who require a shorter walk – please indicate your intentions with your committee member in charge of the bus.
The walk commences on the southern outskirts of Nethybridge near Dell Lodge (NGR 012 194) at the end of an unclassified road. From the bus, head S’wards through the forest, ignoring two paths on your left heading East. At a T junction (NGR 012 161), branch left towards Forest Lodge, ignoring a path on your right, but after 650m, veer right (NGR 018 160), and head SW’wards towards Rynettin. After this, the path soon swings E’wards to a split in the route at NGR 015 143. Take the path heading S’wards past a memorial and onwards to leave the forest for open ground to eventually pass Ryvoan Bothy on your right (NGR 006 115). Continue into the Pass of Ryvoan, ignoring a path on your left (NGR 003 111) going E’wards towards Lairig an Laoigh, with Lochan Uaine on your left,. Continue along the south side of the Allt na Feith Duibhe towards Glenmore Lodge and onwards to the Cairngorm ski road. Your bus will be conveniently parked below the Reindeer House (NGR 978 097).
