Our walk today takes us into an area of Perthshire. Kevin Williams suggested this walk and your committee included it in the 2018 Programme. This is a through-walk, so any walkers preferring a shorter walk (shorter alternatives) should stay on the bus and travel through to our pick-up point at Dunkeld and do a walk there. Please discuss this with the person in charge today and make your intentions clear, so that early discussions can take place with the driver.

The walk commences at Kirkmichael (NGR 080 601) where we cross the bridge over the River Ardle. Head southwards on the Cateran Trail for approx. 2km on the west side of the River Ardle until a Scottish Rights of Way signpost to Dunkeld . Take this path and follow it towards Lochan Oisinneach and onwards to Loch Oisinneach Mor. Keep to the west side of this loch and continue southwards to the west side of Loch Ordie, passing under elecrtic cables overhead. Continue toward Loch Ordie Lodge an take the track southwards through the forest with Raor Lodge to the west towards the Glack. Continue SE’wards towards Birkenburn and further on to Hatton. Our route continues S’wards past Cally Loch to the car park at approx. (NGR 024 436) where our bus will be waiting . Walking distance approx. 15miles.

Bus leaves at 6.30pm.
