Bus leaves Aberdeen at 9.00 am.

Todays main walk is a through walk, so members who require a different, or shorter walk should indicate your intentions with the person in charge of the bus today, prior to you leaving the bus

1. The main walk commences at the sawmill (NGR 591 916). Cross the river (Water of Feugh) at a bridge and walk S’wards ignoring a path going SW’wards (NGR 590 911) and one going NE’wards (NGR 590 910). This path heads towards The Cramlet, but soon swings SW’wards to gain Peter Hill (617m). Keep to the high ground, passing Baudnacauner (574m) on the way, till you pick up a good path going N’wards to eventually arrive at Burnfoot. Cross the stone bridge over the Water of Feugh and turn left. Walk along the road to the bus parked at the Forest of Birse (NGR 532 906). Walking distance approx. 8 miles.
2. From the bus, parked at Forest of Birse, walk W’wards to the bridge over the Water of Feugh, just west of Ballochan, and continue to the Fungle path Cross the Water of Feugh again on a footbridge and continue N’wards to gain the Fungle path, Return to the bus by the Birse Castle path. Walking distance approx. 2.5 miles.
3. From the bus, walk N’wards, then NE’wards on a good path all the way to Glencat farm. Return to the bus by retracing your steps Walking distance approx. 4 miles.
