Walk 1. Todays` walk starts beside the old harbour at Buckpool. The walk follows the coast westwards towards Portgordon, there should be the occasional marker. At Portgordon follow Lennox Place and Stewart Street, turning left at end of surfaced road southbound initially curving right to pick up track on old railway line. At old bridge turn right (NJ387642) for a short distance then turn left following markers for Speyside Way to Spey Bay where there is the old Ice House, museum and visitors centre (cafe)
At the old Ice House(now a private residence) turn southwards to follow the river on waymarked track, after 1.5 Kms you pass the old bridge which carried the railway from Lossiemouth to Buckie. Continue south towards Fochabers, there may be diversions because of recent flooding. After passing under the bridges carrying the A96 and the old road you will reach a small carpark, proceed towards the exit turning right uphill towards the village square where the bus should be parked.

Walk 2. Starting at Portgordon (west of Buckie). Alight from bus at bus stop beside old pub (GR393642), the old Tennants sign is still on the wall. From there follow route as main walk.
Distance – 8.5 miles
Walk 3. This walk is at the woods on the South East side of Fochabers and is a 3 mile loop from the car park, the longest of four walks available in the area.
Starting at NJ358587 in the parking area take the path to the right going round a gate gradually ascending past two junctions which form a loop to pick up blue route. At NJ364574 bear left onto narrow track Blue route which ascends past “Ranalds Grave” the site where Ranald ,the chief of a band of tinkers was executed and buried for accosting and robbing people passing on what is now the A96 road to Keith. On reaching the top NJ373574 is the Monument to the Duchess of Richmond And Gordon,also a bench. To descend follow follow the blue route NW downhill crossing another vehicle track on the way. To view the Longhowe Loch turn left at NJ 367584 (blue route) keep on this track going right (downhill) at NJ361581 to reach carpark.
To get to Fochabers take care crossing the road. Traffic is still fast moving here. Go through the gate on other side of road, go down track and bear left at NJ357587.
After a few yards take narrow signed track on left, this takes you under the bypass out past some new houses opposite Christies Nursery. From there continue down the High Street to the square where the bus should be parked.
