Members who are intending to participate in the above walk should be aware that a slight change in the walk notes & the route map has been made today,7th March. The mid point of the route was checked out on 7th March & it was found that a large swathe of the forest has been cleared which has effectively removed the intended route leading from the forest up to the secondary road & forest car park where those doing the shorter walk will start.
A new route has been prepared showing an alternative route from the edge of the forest to the forest car park & the map & notes have been amended accordingly. So anyone who has downloaded the map & notes prior to 7th March should revise their records & download the amended notes & gpx file. Those walkers doing the shorter walk are unaffected..
