There were 30 walkers on today’s outing to partake in various walks at the head of Glen Esk. Jules made good time driving up the narrow, twisty road to drop off Jim at Tarfside before continuing to the parking area at Invermark. All three walks suggested on the route sheet were tackled with a few others choosing low level walks in the area. The day was overcast with gusting winds and showers as we walked along the side of Loch Lee. As we climbed higher the wind increased which helped to clear the mist allowing views back down to the loch. A few stopped at the House of Mark for afternoon tea and scones while others enjoyed a pleasant seat in the afternoon sun awaiting the rest of the walkers to arrive back. We left on time with a refreshment stop at Edzell before returning home half an hour to the good. Alan
