We had another good turnout today with 32 people coming along for the first walk of the year with a steep ascent. The weather forecast was reasonable when most of us set off towards East Davoch to do the circuit over Broom Hill and Pressendye while two opted for a lower level walk around Tarland and Muirton Wood. Some of us had a lunch stop out of the stiff breeze at the rock shelter on the top of Pressendye, then caught the edge of a passing shower on the way down, fortunately it was not heavy enough for waterproofs. Everyone enjoyed the day, even the two people who followed the way markers in the latter stages of the walk to Muirton Wood. Refreshments were had at the Commercial Hotel and the bus left half an hour early, our driver Jules getting us back to Aberdeen at 5.00pm. Hamish
