There were 28 members on today’s walk. Jules, our bus driver, informed us that the main street in Grantown would be closed as there was a classic car event, “Motor Mania”, being held in the town square. Jules also requested if we could leave half an hour early as she would exceed her driving hours for the next day. We made alternative arrangements to end the walk south of Grantown and leave at 17-30 in order to have a half hour stop on the way home. We had a comfort stop at Dufftown but the toilet drains were blocked therefore we had to have a second comfort stop at Charlestown of Aberlour. We dropped off Ela, Linda and Kathleen before the start to visit Ballindalloch Castle. 18 walkers got off at Cragganmore to do the walk as per the route sheet, 5 got off at Millton to do a shorter walk with another 2 remaining on the bus to the finish. The weather was more like summer than the start of autumn, very warm, sunny, blue skies and no wind. We were all back to the bus by 17-45 and we managed to have a 15 minute stop at Dufftown. We were back in Aberdeen by 20-00 an hour early, a good day had by all. Alan
