We had 26 members and friends on the bus today. A comfort stop was taken at Kirriemuir before continuing to our start point at Glen Prosen. The weather forecast said it would be dry in the morning but poor in the afternoon with low cloud and rain. This was exactly the case and by the time we got to the summit of Craigie Thieves (689m), via the Glack of Balquhader, the cloud was down and it started to rain. Nevertheless, after a short lunch break, we continued along the high ground on a good path which eventually disappeared. but appeared again as we descended into Glen Damff. The rain was not that heavy, but it was the type that soon soaked through the waterproofs. The bus was waiting at Glenhead Farm in Glen Isla and when everyone was back aboard and ready, we soon departed at 3.30pm for our customary 30 minute stop. This time at the Kirkton of Glen Isla Hotel. Our driver then had us back in Aberdeen  around 6.15pm where it was still raining. A good day was had by all, apart from the rain. That is “Scottish Summer Weather” for you!!  Graham
