For a number of years now, we have not had a full bus. Last Sunday, our bookings were such that we managed to fill a 36 seater and had a small waiting list as well. New faces were on the list as they had seen our outing on the new web page. However, Jules our driver, for no reason, turned up with a large 49 seater so, in fact, no waiting list was necessary. On the day, 2 walkers did not appear so we had plenty of room on the coach to stretch our legs on the journey up to Cullen on the Moray Coast. We picked up John Stewart near Inverurie and then took a short comfort stop at Huntly before carrying onwards on our journey. Some walkers opted to go into Cullen and then do some shorter walks along the clifftops towards Portknockie and Logie Head etc. The vast majority decided on following the “route sheet” through the forest and taking in the Bin of Cullen. At the summit trig, we had fabulous views in all directions but a very cold and blustery wind returned us into the forest for lunch. We continued (“ploutered”) through the many paths in the forest and all were back on the bus at Cullen House carpark well before time. A short pub stop was taken at the Grant Arms in Cullen to discuss today’s walks before setting off for home in Aberdeen.  A really great day’s outing. Graham
