The day was set to be fair as our group of 22 walkers headed south to the Angus Glens for our walk over Tamhilt and Hill of Mondurran. Thankfully, due to the skills of our driver Jules who negotiated a narrow bridge and some tight corners we managed to start the walk from Craigendowie instead of Bridgend. This saved us approximately 3 miles additional walking. Clear blue skies and warm weather, though breezy on the tops, allowed us brilliant views towards Mount Keen and Clachnaben and also with some distant views of the Montrose basin and the sea. There are a number of new paths and tracks in this area and therefore our walk was straightforward following a circular route over Tamhilt and the Hill of Mondurran, returning to our starting point of Craigendowie. All of the group traversed the route and returned to the bus in good time for a short pub stop at Edzell before arriving back in Aberdeen.  Frank.
