There were 23 members on today’s walk, 20 opted for the main walk, while 2 others went round Ben Aigan following part of the Speyside Way. One member stayed on the bus to Dufftown and did a walk from there. It was beautiful day, warm and sunny with blue skies. We enjoyed our lunch at the top, some of us had eggs to roll as it was Easter Sunday. After a well deserved drink and going back to the bus, a local lad was unconscious outside The Royal Oak pub, one of our members called for an ambulance. The walk turned out to be longer than expected, as it was 13.3 miles, not 10 miles as stated on the route sheet. 4 members were picked up at the Balvenie Distillery car park due to the length of the walk and the shortage of time. Our bus returned from picking up the 4 from the car park just after the ambulance arrived, we left at 4.45pm and returned to Aberdeen only 15 minutes late. Thanks to Jules, our bus driver, which turned out to be an eventful day for her. Fiona
