We had an attendance of 30 for the walk over Morven to Logie Coldstone with a group of 5 from Norway visiting Scotland for a week and two people on their first outing with the club. It was a dry day with sunny spells but a chilly breeze at higher elevations. 6 of the group opted to do the lower level walk along the base of the hill which was increased to 8 as two who were out for the first time had planned to go over Morven found themselves a bit behind the main pack so joined those on the lower walk. Some had an early lunch stop as they were making good progress, after which three of the low level group used the short cut past a couple of crofts to cut out a stretch of road walking. Everyone was back at the bus early so that allowed a slightly extended refreshment stop in Aboyne and our driver had us back in Aberdeen just before 5pm. Our Norse guests enjoyed the day and will be welcome should they make a return visit. Hamish
