A group of 28 walkers embarked on a scenic walk in Dunphail to Forres, following the final leg of the Dava Way. With 1 opting for a walk around Forres.
There was an Iron Giant sculpture greeting us at the carpark in Dunphail.
The fresh air was invigorating, despite the occasional rain showers. Lush green fields bursting with spring lambs provided a delightful backdrop for the walk.
The muddy tracks presented a bit of a challenge, but the camaraderie of the group kept everyone’s spirits high. A welcome break for lunch under a sheltering tree provided a chance to refuel and enjoy the picturesque scenery.
We came across the beautiful Scurrypool Bridge with its cascading waterfall and then a few miles later the Dallas Dhu distillery. A field of pig styes with mother pigs watching their young was a welcome sight as well.
Forres offered a chance to warm up and unwind after the walk. Some walkers opted for a cozy pub, while others enjoyed coffee and cake at a local cafe. The group managed to time their return perfectly, arriving back just as the rain intensified, making it a refreshing and memorable walk.
