After the recent unsettled weather, it was a dry if overcast day for our departure from Aberdeen to the Loch Lee area and the weather stayed dry and warm for the rest of the day.  There were twenty-nine walkers on the bus, with plenty of space as we were provided with a 50-seater bus.  One walker took a route to Invermark from Tarfside, where we stopped to use the toilets.  The remainder stayed on the bus, with most walkers alighting at Gleneffock for the longer route to the Falls of Damff, returning via Loch Lee.  The remainder stayed on the bus to the carpark at Invermark; from here, three people did a shorter circular route along Loch Lee then up to the falls, while a few others explored the area round the Loch without ascending to the falls.  Everyone was back on the bus in good time, so we had time for a refreshment stop at Edzell before returning to Aberdeen.  Thanks to our driver for negotiating the narrow roads in a large bus than usual.
