There were 22 members on today’s walk. Brenda, our driver, drove us south safely negotiating the narrow roads to the start location at Blacklunans. Everyone got off the bus with 19 doing the main walk over Mount Blair and 3 doing a low level route avoiding the climb. The main party soon split into 3 smaller groups taking various routes to the summit. There was a short break for lunch at the top before the rain arrived and we had to put on our waterproofs. We descended the hill on a good track to join the Cateran Trail as the sun emerged giving us a lovely warm afternoon. We continued passing Dalnagler Castle and safely passed the cattle and sheep to reach the bus at the Spittal of Glenshee. Everyone was back on time allowing us a refreshment stop in Ballater before returning to Aberdeen just before 7pm.
