It was a cold but fine morning for the departure from Aberdeen for our walk in the Glen Lethnot area. We visited Edzell on the way for a toilet stop, then headed towards Glen Lethnot to our starting point at Blairno farm steadings. Most walkers headed for the longer walk over Peat Hill and onto Laidwinley, with a few opting to for a shorter route back after Peat Hill. The walking was straightforward with good paths all the way except for a few stretches of water to cross. The weather remained dry all day, although it was cold on the top, with a first distant sighting of snow on Mount Keen. Everyone was back in good time, so there was plenty of time to enjoy refreshments in Edzell before the return to Aberdeen, arriving back an hour earlier than scheduled.
