The club had thirteen walkers on the walk today starting at Linn of Dee, and boy what a day on probably the hottest day of the year so far. We had a short comfort stop in Braemar before dropping two of our walkers off at Victoria Bridge. We then headed to Linn of Dee where most walkers headed to Creag Bhalg as per the route sheet. A few walked to the beautiful Mar Lodge then headed to the Punch Bowl for lunch. Here is where we crossed the bridge bequeathed by the late Willie Robb much missed member of Aberdeen Hillwalking Club. After lunch some headed along Glen Quoich and up to the hill tops for the much needed cooling breeze. One walker braved the heat and went up past Derry Cairngorm to Bein Mheadhain. A good days walking had by all in the sunshine and for some of the walkers that arrived back early had a much needed paddle in the cold clear water. Our new bus driver Jason had a walk in the sun to the Chests of Dee and a much needed dip in the River Dee for a cool down afterwards. We ended the day with a refreshment stop in Ballater, bus was back in Aberdeen by 8.45pm Elaine
