There were 28 out on today’s walk leaving Aberdeen at 09-00 with a short bus journey to our starting point at the Hill o’ Nine Stanes . 25 got off the bus to do the walk as per the route sheet and 3 continued to do shorter walks. It was a cold and windy day but pleasant walking in the trees out of the wind. Some ventured to the summit of Kerloch but on arriving on the top were greeted with a biting wind and sleet. We didn’t hang about but descended to the shelter of the trees for our lunch stop. There was a short section of boggy track which we had to negotiate, due to recent tree felling, where we met up with some other members who had taken an alternative route. The bus was waiting for us at the Bridge of Bogendreip and we departed for our pub stop in Banchory. We arrived back in Aberdeen approximately an hour early. Alan
